I loved working on this Skittles commercial! I played the vampire boy and I was 17-years-old at the time of filming. Ah the memories... My favorite part was working with the spider.
Now contrary to popular belief, he wasn't an animatronic - he was a real living breathing giant man-eating spider from the planet Gnolla RS7. His Earth name was Craig.
We shot the whole thing in one day. Craig was paid a large chunk of the budget by the producers so he wouldn't eat anyone on set. I'm pretty sure he must've had his claws crossed. We were missing about 3 extras.
During lunch, I found him smoking a cigarette and eating a bowl of dead flies by crafty. We chatted for a bit about Sia's recently dropped 'Chandelier' music video and I complimented him on his English. He complimented me on my Mother...
Honestly, Craig was the nicest spider I had ever met. May he rest in peace. Happy Halloween everyone!
Oh, and I still don't like skittles!
